High Protein Ayurvedic Golden Milk
This is a delicious warm drink you can enjoy before bed. The high protein content keeps you satiated and your metabolism high (it ignites the digestive fire, or agni), and the turmeric and ashwagandha help promote a restful sleep. This is caffeine-free. Add this to your evening ritual of self-care as you are winding down for the night.
2 cups nut milk of choice (we love cashew milk!)
1/2 to 1 scoop Ayurvedic Protein
1 tsp ground turmeric powder
1 TBL coconut oil or ghee
1 pinch ground black pepper
Pour milk in saucepan and heat on low heat. Mix all ingredients in. When slightly steaming, pour into your favorite mug and enjoy. Serve with a cinnamon stick.
